Agent skills are instruction files that a coding agent loads when a task matches. The Squasher skills teach an agent the correct package names, setup steps, and query rules, so it does not invent them.

The skills help an agent pick the right tool. The contracts are the REST API, the MCP tools, and the CLI. When a skill and the code disagree, the code is right.

Run the installer

The installer adds all four skills with npx skills add. It also registers the Squasher MCP server with Codex CLI, Claude Code, Gemini CLI, and Amp when they are installed. Leave out -y to approve each command. Use --skills-only to skip the MCP step. The installer needs Node.js for npx.

Start a new agent session

Most agents load skills when a session starts. Run your agent’s skills command, if it has one, and check that the four squasher- skills are in the list.

Use a skill

Most agents use a skill when your prompt matches its description. To be sure, name it:
The telemetry audit starts with a read-only review. It asks you to approve the repair plan before it edits files. It does not raise sampling, retention, or log levels on its own. To check the install, ask a question that needs no project data, for example “What package do I install for the Squasher Node.js SDK?” The answer must be @squasher-ai/node.

Read the skills directly

The skills are plain Markdown files. An agent can read them without installing anything. The setup prompt on the Setup page tells the agent to run the installer and read the onboarding skill.
