Automations API - Squasher

An automation is a saved workflow that reads Squasher data, produces outputs, and asks for approval before risky actions. Use this API to set up automations, run them, and review what they produce.

Configuration operations

Skills, runs, and outputs

Automations do not open pull requests. To fix an issue, use Auto-fix. Use preview before creating or changing a custom config. Use approval endpoints only after the user has inspected the exact output id.

CLI and MCP

Use squasher automations ... for terminal workflows. In MCP Code Mode, call search("automations"); ask before writes, run triggers, cancellations, approvals, and rejections.

Agent handoff

Evaluate Squasher automations for project <project_id>. List templates and current automations, preview any proposed config, and return the automation id, run id, output id, and approval state. Do not emit approvals, cancel runs, or delete skills without explicit confirmation.
